Directed by Jamie Macchiusi, Andrew Varano and Gemma Weston, OK Gallery represents a stable of early career artists as well as programming curated solo and group exhibitions of exemplary new work that is both visually and conceptually rigorous.
OK Gallery operates as an exhibition space at 5/1 Forbes Road, Northbridge, aiming to contribute to a healthy and vibrant critical dialogue about the nature of art in Perth and to introduce a new generation of local, national and international artists artists to new generation of collectors.
From 1 August to 2 September, OK Gallery will present the second solo show of Jacob Ogden Smith, Hovea Pottery Ale: Quite a few bottles, some big pots and a video.
OK Gallery celebrates its first birthday on Sunday 26 August with and an artist talk by Jacob Ogden Smith.
From 27 – 30 September, OK Gallery takes over the Masonic Hall on 6 Broadway, Nedlands, to present NOW&THEN2012. This symposium aims to foster intergenerational relationships within the Western Australian arts community by reflecting on the recent history of artist-run spaces and publications.
